Top 10 Best Cheap Longboards
Quest Super Cruiser
One of the best selling longboards of all time, the Quest Super Cruiser is one of the best and cheap longboards. With a 44 inch deck, the Quest Super Cruiser is the perfect length for any rider looking to glide to class or perform perfect hard carves down a hill.
The deck of this cheap longboard is made out of hardwood maple which provides a sturdy base for your feet. It does not flex underneath your weight when you stand on it. It also comes with 7-inch aluminum trucks for easy carving and 70mm wheels to make the ride as smooth as possible.
With these aspects, this cheap longboard easily makes the #1 spot on our list with its superb carving ability and price.
Quest Rorshack Bamboo
With the Quest Super Cruiser first on our list, it’s almost no surprise that the Quest Rorshack Bamboo comes in at second. This longboard is the shorter version of the Quest Super Cruiser with a 34-inch deck instead of a 44 inch.
With the shorter deck, the Quest Rorshack can make sharper turns and is agiler than the Quest Super Cruiser. However, this comes at a tradeoff: this board won’t hit the top speed of the Quest Super Cruiser.
For a quick and small carving machine, you should pick up the Quest Rorshack to get you to and from class and take you all around campus. If you want a faster (but bigger) longboard, go with the Quest Super Cruiser. Either way, there are no losers in this decision.
Rimable Drop Through Longboard
With a drop through design, the Rimable Drop Through Longboard is primarily designed for speed. This cheap longboard has a deck made out of a 9 ply maple and comes with some basic grip tape free of charge.
The deck is made out of a cold pressed 9 ply maple for maximum stability when going downhill. It also comes with 7-inch trucks and 70mm 85A wheels to help with gaining speed.
The Rimable Drop Through longboard is primarily made for going downhill as is evident by its ABEC 9 bearings which as one of the top longboard bearings that many similar boards do not include.
Review Longboards would definitely recommend this board as one of the best cheap longboards for going down hills and picking up speed quickly.
Yocaher Professional Speed Drop Down
Review Longboards has reviewed this board previously (Yocaher Professional Longboard review) and found it to be a great beginner board for the price. The Yocaher professional speed drop down is mainly great for downhill riders who want to go fast.
With a deck length of 41.25 inches and constructed of 9 ply maple, this board does not have a lot of flex when standing on it. This board does have the major advantage of being a drop down design which forms a semi-cradle for the rider to step in.
This design vastly aids in stability when going downhill and prevents loss of control of the board when going fast. With wheel cutouts to ensure that wheel bite will not be an issue, the Yocaher Professional Longboard also has admirable carving capability.
For the high quality and downhill aspects, it makes this list as one of the best and cheapest longboards today.
SCSK8 professional speed drop down
One of the cheapest longboards on this entire list, SCSK8 gives customers the option of choosing their board length. The options available are 36 x9, 40 x9, and 41.25 x 9. Review Longboards would recommend the shortest length (36 x 9) to riders who prefer cruising and carving over picking up speed.
Generally the longer the deck the faster you pick up speed and the faster the board will go. The 40 x 9 length is actually a drop down design where the trucks are mounted underneath the board. This will give the SCSK8 longboard more stability.
The other sizes are all drop through designs where the trucks are mounted through the SCSK8 longboard. Review Longboards would primarily recommend the family of SCSK8 speed drop down longboards for beginners just getting into longboarding. One thing can be said about these board, for under $100 these boards are, by far, the cheapest introduction to longboarding beginners will receive.
